The Buddy spinning wheel is a versatile wheel for spinning all types of yarn. Whether you enjoy spinning fine, even yarns or thick textured and art yarns, Buddy makes the process effortless. The wide treadle, light treadling action, and generous bobbin capacity make it a reliable companion for both beginners and experienced spinners.

Versatile and Easy to Use

Buddy features five ratios (1:4–1:18), allowing you to adapt the wheel to a wide range of spinning styles and yarn types. The orifice diameter is 18 mm and can be reduced to 12 mm using the included insert. The 12 mm insert helps keep finer yarns centred and reduces wobbling during spinning.

This model is equipped with a single wide treadle that can be operated with either one foot or both feet. If you prefer a double treadle, take a look at the Buddy DT model.

Designed for Smooth Spinning

Buddy comes complete with four bobbins and a stand-alone lazy kate that holds three bobbins. With a bobbin capacity of approximately 200 grams, there is plenty of room for larger spinning projects.

The sliding yarn guides feature an open slot design, making it easy to insert and reposition the yarn while spinning.

Spin Thick, Fine or Art Yarn

Buddy is suitable for a wide range of spinning techniques and fibre types. Whether you spin thick yarn, fine yarn or art yarn, Buddy can handle it all.

The wheel features Dutch tension and an aerodynamically designed flyer, allowing you to spin with very little pull on the yarn. This creates a comfortable spinning experience while giving you excellent control over yarn formation.

Made from solid beech and beech plywood, the Buddy spinning wheel is sturdy, durable and easy to assemble. It is supplied unfinished, allowing you to apply your preferred finish.
